Studio

One person.One studio.

MM8 is Ivan Milite, working from Edmonton for businesses across Canada. The person who answers your first email is the person who designs the work, builds it and looks after it once it is running. No account managers, no handoffs.

The person

Ivan Milite.

Ivan co-owns Le Belle Arti, a high-end modern furniture and lighting business founded in 1976, with showrooms in Edmonton and Calgary.

Running a showroom is where the studio's view of business comes from. Customers arrive with a real problem, a slow answer loses the sale, and the business that is easiest to deal with tends to win it. Most of what decides that now happens online, before anyone walks through a door.

The Le Belle Arti website and catalogue, and the software being built to run its orders, are MM8's own work. The same work is open to other businesses: showrooms, interior designers, trades, clinics, professional services and more.

MM8 builds with AI tooling and says so plainly. The tooling makes a website or a workflow far quicker to produce. It does not decide what a business actually needs, which is the part that stays human and the part worth paying for.

Ownership

You own it.All of it.

The part of the studio that is not negotiable, written down so it can be held to.

Everything is in your name

The website, the domain, the hosting account, the automation accounts and the data are registered to you from the first day, not at the end of a term.

You can leave with all of it

No platform to be locked into and nothing to hand back. If the work together ends, the work stays yours and keeps running.

The scope comes first, in writing

Every project is quoted as a fixed scope before it starts, never by the hour. Anything beyond it is agreed in writing before it is built.

Working principles

How the work gets decided.

Outcomes before technology

The commercial problem gets named first. The tools are chosen after, and only if they are the shortest route to solving it.

Nothing ships unverified

No invented clients, results, testimonials or figures appear on this site or in anything sent from it. A claim that cannot be checked does not get published.

AI does the labour, judgement does the work

AI tooling drafts code, layout and copy, which is why builds move quickly. Every decision about what to cut and what matters is a human one.

The phone is the site

Most visitors to a local business website are on a phone, often standing in front of the problem. The phone layout is designed first.

Plain language

No cutting edge, no revolutionary, no seamless. If a sentence would not survive being read out loud to a customer, it does not ship.

Demonstrations are labelled

Work built to show a standard says so on every page. A portfolio piece that has to be explained away is not a portfolio piece.

Describe what you are building in a sentence or two. The reply comes from Ivan, not a form robot.
